It feels like it isn’t working. I ask that you pause for 10 seconds and consider what it would be like outside of meditation if you were more accepting when things didn’t go the way you wanted.

Was there a point when you were at a spot and didn’t feel any sensation there but felt a sensation in another place
No.
Yes. Did it bother you that you didn’t feel anything at the target spot
No. Good
Yes. Feeling something at another spot and being aware that you aren’t feeling anything at the target spot is no different from thinking about work while realizing you feel no sensation at the target spot. You’re in the circle, so just sit there.
Except when you moved from one spot to another or thought about the spot for a moment when you forgot about it, do you feel like you were controlling what happened or was your mind just doing what it was doing.
It was doing what it was doing.
I was controlling it. As long as you weren’t trying to control it, that’s fine. If you were trying, remember, there’s no trying in this meditation.
I’m not sure. If you aren’t sure, don’t worry about it. There likely was an element of unintentional effort in your reaction. Keep meditating and that will probably reduce over time.
