Which statement best describes how much you are concerned with what happens in your meditation compared to your reaction to what happens?
I’m not concerned with what happens. I don’t control it, so I let my mind do what it does and don’t worry about what it does. Bravo
I get that it’s not about what happens, it’s about how I react to it, but I’m still finding that I want my meditation to be different from how it is. That’s good. You understand the basic concept. Keep meditating and you will likely find that over time you will have less of a need for your meditation to be different from what it is. That is progress.
My meditation doesn’t feel productive, so I think I may not be doing it right. My hope is not that your meditation starts feeling more productive, but that you become more accepting of it feeling unproductive. That would be progress and would likely connect to changes in your life outside of your meditation. I realize this is counterintuitive, so I say it over and over in different ways.
